We have just acquired a wonderful array of antique dolls and doll accessories. Early American dolls include Joel Ellis, Ludwig Greiner, Mason & Taylor, etc, antique miniatures and children's furniture, carriages, trunks, bureaus, beds, tables & early chairs, etc. There are rare accessories for doll houses and many pieces of antique doll clothing, as well as accessories for the clothing. One early collection from a Boston area home includes black dolls, composition and china heads, ladies, gentlemen & children outfitted in fancy & everyday clothing as pioneers, soldiers, etc. Most have their original early clothing. Another collection consigned to us from a Duxbury estate has over 70 dolls in porcelain by famous German and some French makers along with some composition dolls. Many of these dolls were dressed by the owner whose skill in outfitting is noteworthy. She recently passed away at 98 yrs. old and had enjoyed collecting and crafting after her retirement.
